THE TENNESSEE VOLUNTEER FAMILY
Did you know that Tennessee earned the nickname
“The Volunteer State” because of the prominent role
by Tennessee volunteer soldiers during the War of 1812? We have
continued our legacy of volunteering and true southern hospitality
and are proud to have a state that is a very welcoming place to
live and visit. Our Tennessee volunteers make up a close-knit family
of natives, transients and visitors.
Visit our side of the country and become an
exclusive member of this Tennessee volunteer family. Our state has
a lot to offer. Four distinct, but mild seasons make it an enjoyable
place to live all throughout the year. The low cost of living and
lack of state income taxes also make it a comfortable and more relaxed
way of life here in Tennessee. From Knoxville, you can venture to
within a day’s drive of 75 percent of the U.S. population
to visit the beach, mountains or plains.
From the Tennessee River you can travel all
the way down to the Gulf of Mexico and Atlantic Ocean via the Tennessee-Tombigbee
Waterway that travels all the way down to the Gulf of Mexico and
Atlantic Ocean. The Great Smoky Mountains, the most-visited national
park in the country, is home to areas perfect for relaxing and enjoying
the great outdoors. If you’re an outdoorsman, the mountains,
lake, rivers and valleys of East Tennessee are perfect for hiking,
trail riding, hunting and much more!
Rarity has created master-planned amenity
communities that highlight the natural beauty and serenity of East
Tennessee. Looking for the best place to retire? Look no more because
Rarity has something for everyone. Whether it is a lake property,
mountain property or golf course property, we have them all and
much more. Each custom estate home, condominium, villa or town home
features exquisite craftsmanship and a specific architectural design
for each community. For instance, Rarity Bay in Vonore, Tenn. has
homes, condos and villas with French Country architecture, while
Rarity Pointe in Lenoir City has homes and villas in an English
Manor style.
While most of the communities geared toward
retirees, Rarity welcomes individuals, families and children from
across the country. Folks come from Florida, Michigan, New Jersey
and even California to retire to East Tennessee and are thrilled
to get away from worrying about hurricanes, snow and earthquakes.
The true beauty of Knoxville and the Rarity communities is their
location down between the mountains of East Tennessee where there
are no hurricanes and the seasons pass by pretty mildly. Here we
can play golf, boat and generally enjoy the outdoors year round.
Volunteer the rest of your life to living
your dreams in the Tennessee way.
